ACTIVITIES IN ULVIK
Ulvik offers an ideal terrain for hiking, suitable for both beginners and the more experienced.
The Tourist Office arranges guided walks and strolls through the village throughout the season.
BIRD WATCHING
A rich variety of common and less common birds are
to be observed in the various biotopes in the area. The wide forest-clad areas around Ulvik are easily
accessible on foot and should be visited. There is an observation cabin from where you can study the birds
at your leasure.
THE HERITAGE TRAILS IN ULVIK
Four areas in Ulvik have been made accessible to the general public, presenting various reminiscences from ancient times, such as stone covered grave mounds, a cotter's farm and a restored country mill.
FJORD CRUISE ON THE HARDANGERFJORD
Daily evening cruises in the summer. Starts at the quay of Rica Brakanes Hotel.
UPPHEIM FARM
The hosts at Uppheim Farm have opened their home
for coffe guests and give you a unique chance to experience what life on a farm in Ulvik is like.
HJELTNES GARTNARSKULE (Horticultural College)
Hjeltnes Gartnarskule is the oldest horticultural college
in Norway, founded in 1901. The college is surrounded
by an inviting park with a rose and herb garden. The college also has an orchard with different old apple trees.
